WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUND? WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO WEALTH?:
As a child prodigy (gifted boy, front of the classroom, big ol' nerd), Gale comes from a well-off family in one of the finest cities in Faerun, Waterdeep. He has a whole tower of his own, speaks about having had staff in his youth, and was sent to an elite wizard school where only the most fortunste pupils learn the craft. He does not seem shy about or uncomfortable with this, given how open he is about enjoying the finer things in life (having his own library and a wine cellar, for instance). He also ascended to the highest rank a wizard can achieve, archwizard, and became a God's Chosen — all before being brutally humbled by his own hubris. An orb now leeches the life and magic from him, so he feels less superior these days.
Generally, he doesn't judge others from where they come from, fueled instead by insatiable curiosity about all things and peoples.
